RevIBHal

- Let the birds bounce back.

RevIBHal will help the broiler flocks to recover from Inclusion body hepatitis infections at a faster rate and also limits the mortality in the commercial flocks resulting in improved overall performance of broiler flocks.

IBH/HPS Overview

A disease of chickens characterised by acute mortality, often with severe anaemia, caused by an adenovirus. Inclusion body hepatitis (IBH) can cause severe mortality in 2- to 5-week-old broiler chickens. Fowl Adeno virus Serotype 4 causes typical Inclusion Body Hepatitis- Hydropericardium (IBH-HHS) or Leechi disease in broilers. However, recent out breaks with FAdV serotype 8b and 11 causes only IBH with profound metabolic acidosis and hypoglycemia which in turn cause mortality.

Clinical findings

  • Swollen or enlarged Liver, often with multiple petechial hemorrhages.
  • Swollen Kidneys.
  • Hydropericardium - a straw-colored transudate in the pericardial sac.
  • Inflammation of pancreas
  • Icteric changes or Jaundice

Corrective Measures

Curative actions include to restore liver and pancreatic functions to normal level which in turn improves glucose metabolism and limits the mortality in the IBH affected flocks. In general, improve the performance of commercial flock.

Inclusion Rate

  • 100 ml for 1000 birds in drinking water per day for 5-7 days.
  • Dose may vary based on severity and as directed by veterinary doctor.
